As we wrap up the fourth quarter of 2023, the performance of fast food and fast casual restaurant applications on Android in Brazil has shown varying trends in user engagement. The data, courtesy of Sensor Tower, offers us a glimpse into the downloads and weekly active users for some of the most popular apps in this segment.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery experienced a notable fluctuation in downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at 230K in the third week of November before tapering off to 73K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users followed a similar trajectory, with a high of 2.8M towards the middle of November, eventually settling at around 2.1M active users in the last week of December.
Burger King Brasil also saw a mixed pattern, with downloads initially rising to 67K in early October, then experiencing ups and downs, ultimately reaching a quarter high of 71K in the final week of December. The app's active users peaked at 659K in mid-November and saw a decline to 493K by the end of the quarter.
Habib's app downloads showed a steady increase across the quarter, with a significant jump to 34K in the last week of December. Weekly active users experienced a rise as well, starting at 110K in late September and reaching 129K by the quarter's close.
Starbucks Brasil had a relatively stable quarter in terms of downloads, with a slight increase from 4.2K in late September to around 4.7K in early October, followed by a gradual decline to 2.1K by December 25th. The weekly active users showed more variance, peaking at 35K in October and decreasing to 26K by the end of December.
Lastly, Popeyes Brasil maintained lower figures in both downloads and weekly active users compared to its counterparts. Downloads hovered around 2K for most of the quarter, while active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 3.8K and ending the quarter at 3.3K.
